ASE Certified
ASE Blue Seal of Excellence
Until the early 1970's, consumers had no way to distinguish between incompetent and competent mechanics.

In response to this need, the independent, non-profit National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) was established in 1972. ASE's mission is to improve the quality of vehicle repair and service through the testing and certification of repair and service professionals.

Upon passing at least one exam and after providing proof of two years of relevant work experience, the test taker becomes ASE certified. Certification, however, is not for life. To remain certified, those with ASE credentials must be retested every five years.

All of our technicians are ASE Certified and take continuing education classes to keep up with ever-changing technology.

TK Service

Today's cars and trucks are very complicated machines. Due to the fact that they are built with increasingly sophisticated systems, it can require some time to diagnose a problem. TK Service has made the investment in equipment that is needed to properly check out and diagnose the symptoms your vehicle is experiencing.

The first stage in any repair therefore requires some time to be spent on diagnostic inspections. After the problem is detected, we prepare an estimate detailing the required repairs and the cost of parts and labor. No repairs are performed without your approval, however, we do bill for the time spent on our diagnosis. Your vehicle will be prepared in a timely fashion, you will be notified if any additional needs are discovered in the course of the repair, and you will be kept informed of our progress during all phases of the repair to avoid any confusion or misunderstandings.

After the repair, we road test each vehicle a final time to insure that there are no additional problems. In cases where we anticipate future needs, you will be given an estimate so that you can budget or plan for those repairs. Our intent, in recommending repairs, is to treat each car as if it were our own. In other words, would we spend the money to make the repair if it was our vehicle? We need to justify your investment in your car or truck and we want to make it obvious to you what our motivation is; our recommendations are based on need - not greed.
